Just nu sitter jag på terassen på vårt hotel Kiran Palace och har precis beställt frukost, rostat bröd, äggröra och kaffe :) jag har en fantastik utsikt över staden, berg och ett fantastiskt palats ( Indiska kungens monsunpalats).

I torsdags kväll hoppande jag in i en buss i mumbai som körde mig och min nya reskamrat Carl till Udaipur. Carl har bokat samma rundresa i Radjastan som mig så vi har valt att göra den tillsammans och dela bil och chaufför !

Kort fakta om Carl: Blivande 20åring (om 19 dagar!) från Udevalla. Har jobbat på lager i Norge för att kunna åka ut och resa, planerar att vara borta till början på sommaren, anlände till mumbai ett dygn efter mig. När han kommer hem vill han läsa medicin i Gbg eller Lund.

Bussresan från mumbai var galen, den tog 22h, första 5h i en minibuss som var mer än överfull med folk och saker! Sedan åkte vi sovbuss, vilket innebär att det är två våningar med britsar med badrasser på båda sidor av mittgången. På ena sidan var det dubbelbritsar, på andra singel. Jag sov i en singel, Carl delade med en indisk man som saknade sin flickvän väldigt mycket, under natten misstog han Carl för sin tjej och började mysa. På bussen fanns ingen toalett så vi stannade på rastplatser längs med motorvägen. Dessa rastplatser är den äckligaste och mest fantastiska upplevelsen på länge! Kaklade små bås med ett litet hål i ena hörnet (viste inte hur jag skulle bete mig för att kissa där och gick till herrarnas istället!) helkaklade små bås utan dörr där golvet lutar lätt ner i en ränna, bara att samla upp alla stora byxben, klänning och sjal, dra ner och sätta sig på huk bredvid de andra kvinnorna. (Det vanliga (stora) hålet i marken började kännas som lyx!) Det är svårt att beskriva dessa platser, men sammanfattningsvis så kan man säga att förutsättningarna för att sköta sitt toalettbesök snyggt var dåliga, och jag skulle tro att man städar en gång per monsun.....Kan även tillägga att indier inte använder toalettpapper, utan man använder vänster han och tvättar den sedan!

Väl här i Udaipur har vi varit på lite sightseeing men även hängt med ett gäng indier. Vi träffade på ett par från Sverige, Malin och Powen. powen kommer härifrån, dom bor i Kalmar men är här i Udaipur 6månader för att vara med Powens familj. Jag och Carl har hängt på kvällarna och druckit öl med Powen och hans polare, riktigt kul!

Nu måste jag käka frukosten, så att jag hinner skissa lite innan vår bil kommer om 30min för att köra oss till Jodpur, en ca 8h resa!
